The Deep's penguins are warming up for #derbyday in true #HullFC style... good luck to both teams tonight.

This is our Aquarists Shoshana and Paul hand feeding the two Loggerhead sea turtles, Senza and Mabouche. The coloured sticks you can see are targets which are used to teach them when to come over for food. Mabouche has a red target and Sensa has a yellow one. Despite swimming circles around their keepers they seem to be getting the hang of it!

Ah this is the life... The corals and fish in the Lagoon of Light and Living Coral exhibit enjoy gentle water currents, lighting and water quality to mimic a tropical lagoon habitat. If only we could all be so pampered!

The residents of the living coral exhibit are pampered daily with a good clean and feed! This exhibit showcases the biodiversity of tropical coral reefs and highlights the importance of protecting them

Our new Atlantic Sea Nettle jellyfish are setting into their home in Cool Seas. This stunning species is one we've not had before, so we are delighted to have them on show.

Our gang of juvenile piranhas are 1 year old! What did they want for their birthday? A feeding frenzy mosh pit of course! Check out their chomping skills as they rock out in Deep Blue One! 🤘🔊🎸🐟

Baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo! We have more Zebra shark babies!

These 2 eggs hatched recently from our female Zebra shark in the Endless Ocean exhibit. They were closely monitored in our breeding area until they were ready to hatch, when our team stepped in to gie them some assistance.

To check for activity, the eggs are candled to see what position the little ones are in before breaking through the leathery case. They are now being looked after by our husbandry team.
This species is Endangered so it's very important that we consult with the studbook keeper to see how they can contribute to the European breeding programme. We will keep you updated on their progress!
